Yoga Cooking RetreatTo celebrate the launch of  "Gitam's Garden - Healthy, Sattvic Recipes from the Byron Yoga Centre Kitchen" we're delighted to offer our first Yoga and Cooking Retreat in February 2010. It will still be a relaxing retreat experience, you'll just learn even more about the delicious food we serve on retreat!

It will be held at our beautiful Tallows Beach venue where you can swim in the ocean or walk along the beach during the day in between yoga, meditation, delicious recipes and relaxation.

Immerse yourself in the yoga lifestyle and enjoy a comprehensive and authentic experience of yoga every day, with the support of an experienced team who have been running retreats for many years.

gitam-book-cover-lg.jpgOur Yoga and Cooking retreat offers the unique opportunity to assist in the kitchen for one meal during the week - either lunch or dinner and learn a few recipes from the book. Two participants will help each shift and then share informally with the rest of the group about the meal preparation / ingredients etc before everyone enjoys the delicious meal created!

You can create your own yoga retreat experience with our flexible program of up to three yoga classes daily, free time, massage treatments and optional evening entertainment, which will include inspiring talks from Gitam about preparing healthy sattvic cuisine at home and continuing with a balanced lifestyle.

Arrival Day - Saturday

2:00pm Arrive and settle in to your accommodation

3.00pm Welcome Circle

4.00pm Yoga

Beach YogaDaily Program - Sunday to Thursday

6.00 – 7.30am Morning yoga – including pranayama and meditation
or
Morning beach walk

7.45 – 8.30am Breakfast

10.00 – 12.00pm Dynamic yoga (or assist in the kitchen for one meal during the week)

12.00 – 1.00pm Lunch and Sharing Circle

1:00 – 4.00pm Massage or free time – to rest, swim, explore Byron Bay

4.00 – 5.30pm Restorative yoga (or assist in the kitchen for one meal during the week)

6.00 – 7.00pm Dinner

7.00 – 8.30pm Evening program – discussion, meditation or chanting

Departure day – varies according to retreat duration

6.00 – 7.30am Morning yoga – including pranayama and meditation

7.45 – 8.30am Breakfast

9.00am Closing circle

10.00am Departure
