Well-known for its culture and diversity, Byron Bay makes an ideal location for exploring and deepening your yoga practice, and gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to teach yoga with awareness and understanding. ![]() Byron Yoga Centre is Australia’s first Yoga Alliance-accredited teacher training provider with recognition at 200- and 500-hour levels. The Centre’s Yoga Alliance accreditation offers graduates an internationally recognised qualification (over 80% of our students are from overseas countries), and guarantees training that exceeds the Yoga Alliance registration requirements. Byron Yoga Centre’s teacher training programs are designed to be affordable and flexible. The Centre offers residential or non-residential, full-time or part-time courses (200- and 500-hour levels) through our studios in Byron Bay or our growing list of associated studios throughout Australia and internationally. Experience makes the difference Unique also to our course is that trainees receive their first experience of teaching the public by the end of the second week and, by the end of the course, have been involved in teaching at least 12 hours of open public classes. Committed students are also invited to assist with the senior teachers’ classes from time to time. This offers valuable exposure to teaching methodologies including adjustments, corrections and the use of yoga props, and important insights into how students might conduct their own classes.
