Byron Bay Course Facilitatorkirsty-nugent

Kirsty Nugent has been practicing yoga for over 25 years. Yoga helped her recover from injury when she was a member of Canada’s national gymnastics team and sustained her through a high pressure, global corporate career. She moved to Byron Bay to teach full time & mentor teachers 10 years ago.

This background taught her first hand the therapeutic benefits of yoga and the deep rest available to all of us through restorative yoga. She is renowned for her ability to tailor her classes to be inclusive, passionately educating students that there is a yoga for all bodies, conditions & life stages. She is masterful at creating space for peace & stillness.

She’s completed over 2000 hours of teacher training, including 500 hour qualifications with both Byron Yoga Centre & Inspya Yoga and is grateful for the foundation she received from 10 years of study with ‘scientist yogi’ & physiotherapist Simon Borg-Olivier. She has had the benefit of training internationally, drawing on teachings from Donna Farhi, Richard Miller, Rod Stryker, Clive Sheridan & Erich Schiffmann.

The steady stream of teachers joining her classes over the years have encouraged her to pass these teachings on.
