Due to the popularity of the 3 Day Women’s Health and Yoga Retreat and requests from participants, Tabata Ogilvie is facilitating this special extended 5 Day program. The additional time will offer guests the opportunity to really deepen their knowledge and connection with Tabata, special guest teachers and the group. You will be encouraged to fully let go of your outside world and immerse yourself in the wonderful program.

With the astrological new year starting when the sun enters Aries and the Autumn Equinox falling on 20 March, a focus of this retreat is to delve into the connection of the power of the feminine to the power of the universe – exploring women’s health in relation to the moon phases and the cycle of a woman’s life with the cycles of nature.

Take the opportunity of this 5 Day Retreat to unwind, explore your internal reality and connect to your current body – emotional, mental and spiritual. You will gain the tools to recognise what you need to let go of and what you really need to nourish your true self. Spending this time in the natural surroundings of Byron Yoga Retreat Centre in magical Byron Bay you will harness the power of nature, the ocean, the moon and the stars!

The 5 day retreat will offer a flexible program of yoga classes, women’s wellness workshops, and astrological outlook sessions, sharing circles, feminine centred meditations and powerful rituals. A key part of the program is relaxation, aimed at connecting you with your innate femininity. You will enjoy massage or healing treatments from therapists who specialise in women’s health, a deeply relaxing yoga nidra session as well as restorative and yin yoga classes.

You will be encouraged to spend time in nature, to journal and to relax and reflect. This retreat is designed to inspire you to celebrate your womanhood and to set you on a path for positive changes.

Retreat Program

You are welcome to arrive any time on the Monday (just let us know if you would like to book in for lunch). Your room will be available by 2pm and at 3pm you are invited to join the opening circle. You will then enjoy a restorative yoga class before the delicious dinner. All of our meals are vegetarian with gluten free and vegan options; much of the produce is grown in our organic gardens so you can see your next meal growing!

The Women’s Retreat will run parallel to our 5 Day Wellness and Yoga Retreat. The groups will come together to start the day with a Morning Flow yoga class (suitable for all levels). After a delicious healthy breakfast you will gather for a Women’s Circle session with Tabata Ogilvie or one of the special guest teachers to share, learn and absorb teachings on Women’s Health.

These morning workshops will include sessions on women’s health and yoga in relation to the moon cycles and to the stages of life (menstruation, pregnancy, fertility and menopause).You will look at the astrological outlook for the March Equinox and the coming months giving you tools to assist in planning and decision making. You will be guided in connecting with the flow of nature and the power of the stars; to reconnect to your divine feminine.

The afternoon is free time for you to relax by the heated mineral pool, to reflect or to journal and to enjoy the two massage or healing treatments that are included in the retreat price. The afternoon yoga session will be a relaxing restorative or yin yoga class offering you the chance to sink into a deep state of relaxation and to further let go of long held emotional blocks. This theme will continue in the evening with deeply relaxing yoga nidra, guided meditations and also powerful rituals to instigate personal change.

The retreat program will embody a natural flow of connection, nourishment and intentions. You will find that the process will organically evolve and you will feel truly in the flow and rhythm of nature.

The retreat will finish with an ongoing wellness session and closing circle after lunch, you are welcome to stay onsite for the afternoon to fully integrate the work and the potential for change.

The Yoga

The yoga is a system we call Purna, a traditional hatha style with an emphasis on correct alignment and intelligent sequencing. Purna translates as complete or whole and this is reflected in the premise that we teach not just the physical postures but also an integrated approach with breath awareness (pranayama), meditation and philosophy. With the Purna system students can work at their own level, options are given for variations and modifications allowing for beginners to practice alongside experienced students.
