This is a very special retreat designed to help you to develop an overall wellness program, which you can integrate into your life. We’ll teach you practical approaches to common issues such as stress and weight management through healthy eating and a yoga program which includes not just the physical postures but breathing, meditation and special relaxation techniques. Our nutritionally balanced menu, combined with yoga, will naturally detox the body leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The special diet is based on nutrient-rich super foods, which will help to detoxify the body while giving you energy. Through diet, yoga, meditation & breathing techniques we will give you the tools required to naturally regulate the hormones in the body and reduce strain on the adrenal system.
Our retreats are suitable for people of all levels of yoga experience from beginners right through to long time yogis. Variations of poses are offered and there is always the option to rest if necessary. Most of all we aim to teach you healthy lifestyle modifications, which will be sustainable in your everyday life.

Stay in comfortable, clean share rooms with everything on site: accommodation, yoga studios, dining areas and a heated 20m mineral salt water pool. Organic vegetable gardens supply our kitchen. The Byron Bay Retreat Centre is located within easy walking / cycling from the centre of Byron and the beaches.
The accommodation is clean and simple, with shared rooms and access to all amenities. Retreat guests in residence are expected to be cigarette, drug and alcohol free and are asked to maintain silence (where practical) in the mornings before 9am and after 9.30pm and at ALL times in the rooms. We also ask everyone in residence to be vegetarian on site.

This retreat is all about meeting your individual needs, so we encourage you to fill your days with as many or as little activities as you like. Although there are many options there’s no need to rush, everything has been scheduled so that you can enjoy all the activities with enough time to relax and rejuvenate. Reconnect with nature on a walk through the lush rainforest that leads to the famous Byron Bay lighthouse. If you like native wildlife this is something you won’t want to miss, because you might see wallabies, dolphins, whales and a number of birds. There are a host of activities to indulge in with other retreat members, or by yourself. It’s a lovely walk or short cycle to Byron Beach where you can take time out to swim, sunbathe or watch the sand artist create his giant swirls and peace signs. You can go under the water and scuba dive around Julian Rocks to look for turtles, cuttlefish, white spotted eagle rays and sharks, or watch the water at dusk while dancing to the local drummers; the beats reverberate right through your chest! The town also boasts great cafes, clothes shops, trinkets, jewellery, and if you’re lucky you may see the local llama being led around town by his eccentric keeper.

Byron Bay – General Information
Cape Byron is Australia’s most easterly point, located on the North Coast of New South Wales. With its numerous beaches, unspoilt hinterland, and relaxed lifestyle, Byron Bay is a popular tourist destination. It is also a place where artists, musicians, dancers, writers, surfers, healers and of course yogis express their diversity and individuality. The town has all major facilities: a hospital, cinema, supermarket, health food stores and great restaurants, as well as a flourishing alternative health industry. Bicycle is the easiest way to get around town and easily organised through Byron Yoga Centre.
The average summer temperature is 21C – 28C, and average winter temperature is 15C – 21C, There are also periods of heavy rainfall, especially in summer. The area has a total annual rainfall of 1734mm. Byron Shire has a population of close to 30,000, while the town of Byron Bay has a population of about 9,000. Byron Bay is located just off the Pacific Highway, 800kms north of Sydney, 175kms south of Brisbane. Airports are located in Ballina (30mins south) or Coolangatta (60mins north) and buses and trains arrive regularly.
