The Melbourne trainings are held at the Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Melbourne, Level 1, 110 – 112 Argyle St, Fitzroy.
Expand your knowledge, build your skills
This Level 2 yoga teacher training is open to anyone with a Yoga Alliance accredited Level 1 training (non Byron Yoga Centre graduates will need to undertake a short online Conversion Course). You will add to the knowledge you gained in the 200 hour training and expand on your yoga teaching experience.
Byron Yoga Centre offers this 300 hour training from its studio space at the Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Melbourne in Fitzroy .The course is conducted over a total of six weekends. You will also need to complete online work and practical teaching experience.
The price includes all training sessions and the Level 2 manual. It does not include any accommodation or meals.

Level 2 300 hour Teacher Training Qualification
Byron Yoga Centre’s part time Teacher Training Course in Melbourne is a Level 2 300-hour Teacher Training course accredited with Yoga Alliance. You can add the 300 hour Level 2 qualification to your 200 hour certification to register as a RYT 500 hour with Yoga Alliance.
A part time course is ideal for those who cannot attend a residential training or who prefer to learn at a slower pace. You have time to fully integrate your leaning and, if you complete the online and teaching practice components between the study sessions, you will gain your 300 hour Level 2 certification at the successful completion of the final weekend, or you can complete the course in your own time and then graduate.
Part A: Pre course prep
The preparation / study for the Part Time Level 2 Teacher Training Course can begin up to 6 weeks before course commencement date. You will need to complete approx 30 hours of e-learning and self study before the first weekend. This will include practicing with with a link we will send you to a Purna Yoga sequence for Level 2, learning the Sanskrit names of poses and completing some pre course reading.
Part B: Melbourne Studio Sessions

- Teaching Methodology for intermediate yoga classes
- Adjusting and correcting students
- Advanced Sequencing for classes and private students
- Women’s health, pre and post natal yoga
- Level 2 Applied Anatomy and Physiology
- Level 2 Yoga Philosophy, focus on Yoga Sutras
- Learn to teach pranayama and meditation
- Ayurveda, yogic health and lifestyle tools
- Refining your teaching skills with ‘real life’ practice teaching opportunities from day 1
Part C: Online and Practical
Part C is undertaken in your own time and can be completed between the studio sessions at a personal pace. It comprises the maintaining of a personal journal of self-practice and of teaching experience plus some e-learning study. If needed you can continue the study and complete the course after the residential intensive.
