This special new year retreat is a wonderful combination of yoga, meditation, wellness sessions and massage treatments, plus ceremonies and rituals to mark the ending of one cycle and to welcome the new. This retreat is the perfect way to start the new year and increase those feelings of health, happiness and clarity.
The retreat program is designed to help you to develop ongoing wellness, to kick start healthy habits that you can integrate into your life. We’ll teach you practical and sustainable approaches to issues such as stress management and good nutrition. You will enjoy delicious vegetarian meals prepared with seasonal, local and organic produce – much of it grown onsite in the retreat centre gardens.

John Ogilvie developed the style of Purna Yoga; a classical alignment focused hatha yoga with intelligent sequencing. Purna, meaning complete, represents integration of the physical postures with philosophy, meditation and pranayama. This accessible style is suitable for beginners to more experienced students as variations are given for all levels. For some guests, their retreat is an introduction to starting yoga for the first time. All sessions are optional so guests can always choose to relax by the pool!
The Wellness Sessions
Key features of the programs are the morning and evening wellness sessions. These include nutrition and cooking classes, yogic philosophy and guided meditations plus workshops on the principles of alignment in yoga poses and the fundamentals of Ayurveda, the ancient Indian science developed to create optimum health.
Relaxation Time and Massage
There is plenty of time to relax and reflect. The afternoons offer free time to chill out by the pool, at the beach or to explore the local area. There is also the opportunity to select an additional program option such as surfing, kayaking (see dolphins up close!) or join a trip to the unique hinterland oasis – Crystal Castle. Included in the package prices are 3 personal massage treatments – a highlight for many guests.
The schedule is flexible and planned to maximise your experience of wellness & yoga whilst allowing free time to explore the surrounding area and engage with the local culture.
