Byron Yoga Centre is offering one full tuition scholarship for our 12 month Certificate IV in Yoga Teaching followed by the 2 year Diploma in Purna Yoga Management. Both courses run on two days each week and are available in Byron Bay or Melbourne.
One scholarship will be awarded for a place on either the Byron Bay or the Melbourne 12-month course and the consecutive 2 year Diploma.
The scholarship is for full tuition costs and a further bonus is that Australian students can apply for Austudy while international students can qualify for a 3 year Australian Student Visa.
The scholarship covers all training, manuals and online components. (It does not cover any other expenses such as accommodation, living expenses and cost of travel; plus for overseas students: health insurance and the cost of the student visa). Applications close 28 Feb 2019 and the scholarship place will be available for one of the 2019 term intakes.
The 800-hour Certificate IV is one of the highest yoga teaching qualifications recognised both in Australia and internationally. Students on the 12-month course attend sessions 2 days per week over 4 terms of 10 weeks each. International participants who qualify for the student visa can work for up to 40 hours per fortnight.
The two year Diploma is the ultimate yoga teaching certification. Along with a program to impart advanced teaching skills; it also includes training in Ayurveda and incorporates several specialist teaching areas such as Pre and Post Natal Yoga, Yin yoga, Restorative Yoga and Remedial Yoga.

Application Details for the 2019 Scholarship
Full Tuition Scholarship for the 12 month Certificate IV 12 month 800 hour Yoga Teacher Training and the 2 year Diploma in Purna Yoga Management.
Write 400-500 words on why you would like to undertake this 3 year training, how you think you will benefit from it and how you will share the skills and knowledge with your community.
Please include your name, age, nationality, yoga experience (minimum 2 years) and confirm your level of English (minimum IELTS 5.5.) and state whether you are applying to study at the Byron Bay or the Melbourne campus.

Applications close 28 Feb 2019, the winner will be informed by 31 March 2019 and the scholarship place will be available for one of the 2019 term intakes.
A short list of finalists will be contacted in early March 2019 and these lucky applicants will have the opportunity to present their essay via Skype.
The winner of the scholarship will be selected by the end of March 2019 and all applicants will be notified of the winner. (Byron Yoga Centre reserves the right not to award the scholarship if there are no suitable applicants).
The Scholarship covers the tuition only (worth $30,000). It does not cover any other expenses such as accommodation, living expenses and the cost of travel to Byron Bay / Melbourne; plus for overseas students: health insurance and the cost of the student visa.
The scholarship place can be taken up in any of the 2019 term intakes and the winner must confirm their registration at least two months before the start date of the course (subject to visa approval for international students).
International students will need to apply for a 1 or 3 year student visa once they have been accepted into the course. Student visas allow up to 40 hours of work per fortnight. No responsibly is taken by Byron Yoga Centre for obtaining the visa. If the student is not granted a visa, the Scholarship will not be awarded.
Australian citizens can apply for Austudy. No responsibility is taken by Byron Yoga Centre for obtaining Austudy. If the student is not granted Austudy and decides not to take the scholarship, it will not be awarded.
