Trauma-Aware 2.0 is an immersive 4-day residential training for yoga teachers, clinicians, therapists and students wanting to deepen their understanding of trauma-aware practice and how our experiences can shape the nervous system, relationships and wellbeing. The training is ideal for those who have completed a foundational Trauma-Aware Yoga Teacher Training, while also being accessible as a standalone training.

Trauma-Aware 2.0

Trauma-Aware 2.0 Yoga Teacher Training

Trauma-Aware 2.0 takes a deeper look at trauma-aware yoga through three key areas: attachment theory, developmental theory and moral injury. Led by Chris Thompson-Lang, with guest presenter Professor Harry McConnell, the training combines theory, practical workshops and experiential learning to explore how our experiences can influence the nervous system, behaviour, relationships and wellbeing.

You’ll explore:

Attachment theory – how early relationships can influence safety, trust, connection and regulation.
Developmental theory – how experiences across life can shape the nervous system, behaviour, identity and relationships.
Moral injury – the impact of experiences that conflict with deeply held values, beliefs or sense of identity.

Alongside the theory, you’ll experience trauma-aware yoga, mindfulness, breath awareness, interoception and choice-based teaching approaches, with practical tools to support greater autonomy, self-awareness, regulation and connection.
