Undertaking the Level 2 Purna Yoga Teacher Training has been thoroughly enjoyable, insightful and I feel has set me up to be able to deliver quality teaching to my students.

I loved diving deeper into the other aspects of yoga in addition to Asanas and Sequencing. Most of the concepts that were covered I had encountered before, however, I had all the information bouncing around in my head without being able to categorise it and give it meaningful context. This course has done that for me and given me far greater depth of knowledge.

I am now on a path to teach Yoga in a way that I intended.

Level 2 Graduate

I did my Level 1 in Thailand a few years ago and never felt fully confident in teaching. I’m so glad I chose Byron Yoga Centre for my Level 2. The teachers were all outstanding and the group so supportive. With the conversion course and the pre-course prep work I felt fully ready to dive into the residential course and the real-life teaching practice gave me that confidence I needed to expand my yoga teaching career

Rachael, Level 2 Graduate

Your Questions – Answered.

We have smaller, intimate numbers on our level 2 training of around 6-8 students.

Advanced doesn’t necessarily mean advanced asana. Yoga is a journey inwards- moving us to more subtle states of awareness. We will have a manual to explore the levels, but it’s ok to be where you’re at. We have such diverse students on our trainings so we definitely focus on inclusiveness when we teach. This training is also the perfect place to learn how to be inclusive with your own students.

Yes – the Level 2 residential and the specialty trainings don’t need to be completed in a particular order.

You need to have completed Level 1 200hr yoga teacher training. We accept all level 1 200hr graduates – not just those who graduated from Byron Yoga Centre. This is also what makes the training so diverse and special – with students coming from all different backgrounds.

There are no restrictions. Some yoga teachers like to keep up training momentum and attend Level 2 soon after completing their initial 200 hours, while others prefer to get a few years’ teaching experience first.

You have up to 3 years to complete your 100hr specialty teacher training component.

Our level 1 200hr is intensive, and may have felt slightly frantic… Our Level 2 course is still a 12-day intensive with alot of content covered. However, because of the smaller numbers, and the foundation you are already bringing, our level 2 course could be described as ‘nourishing’, as opposed to frantic. There will be time to ask those questions you’ve always wanted to ask, and have those group discussions that deepen your understanding further.

In level 2, there’s a lot more leeway to meet people where they’re at and add value where it’s needed. We want you to have the time to digest course so it will be available for you to use and weave into what you’re already doing well.

Yes! You can make fortnightly payments with final payment due 7 days before course start date.

If you are a yoga teacher, you may be able to claim this training on tax, you can learn more here.
