Byron Yoga Centre Golden Ticket Competition Terms and Conditions

The Golden Ticket Prize

This amazing prize is valued at over $17,000! The winner is entitled to a complementary place on one of each of the following trainings and//or retreats. The Golden Ticket is valid for trainings and/or retreats with start dates between 1 June 2019 to 31 May 2020.

  • One Level 1 training (20 or 12 day option).
  • One Level 2 training (20 or 12 day option).
  • One selection from the range of speciality courses: Yin, Restorative, Remedial Yoga or the Meditation Teacher Training.
  • A place on one Graduation Immersion (providing the winner has done a Level 1 training).
  • One 8 Day Retreat.
  • One 5 Day Retreat.
  • One 3 Day Retreat.
  • and (if the winner is female!) one Women’s Weekend Retreat.

Winner Criteria

  • The winner will be the person who is deemed by the judging panel to have answered the questions in the most authentic and inspiring way.

Closing Date

  • Entries close 6pm Sunday 14 April 2019.
  • The winner will be informed by email by Friday 19 April and announced Friday 3 May 2019.
  • If the winner does not respond to the email by Friday 26 April 2019 and claim the prize, the Prize will be voided and the runner up will be awarded the Golden Ticket prize.
  • The winner can book into their choice of any of the trainings and retreats included in the prize with start dates between 1 June 2019 and 31 May 2020.

Terms and Conditions

  • By entering the Golden Ticket Competition entrants agree to be bound by these terms & conditions. Any instructions on the Byron Yoga Centre website forms part of these terms and conditions.
  • Entrants must be over 18 years and have a minimum of 15 class yoga experience. No employees of Byron Yoga Centre or their family members are eligible to enter.
  • An entrant can submit a maximum of one entry into the Golden Ticket Prize.
  • The location of the training and retreats forming the Golden Ticket Prize is the Byron Yoga Centre at 50 Skinners Shoot Road, Byron Bay NSW 2481 and the winner is responsible for all travel costs to the Byron Yoga Centre. Travel costs including airfares, insurance and transfers are not included in the Prize.
  • Bookings are subject to availability, however any booking made 3 months before the start date of any course or retreat is guaranteed.
  • If a training or a retreat into which the winner is booked is subsequently cancelled, Byron Yoga Centre reserves the right to cancel that booking and that component of the Golden Ticket Prize can be transferred to another training or retreat within the prize period 1 June 2019 to 31 May 2020. Any cancelled training or retreat booking cannot be redeemed for cash or is transferable outside the prize period.
  • The winner can book one each of the listed trainings and retreats but no compensation will be offered if the winner is unable to take up the full list of prize trainings and retreats.
  • The winner cannot transfer the prize or any of the trainings or retreats to another person.
  • To participate in a Level 1 training the winner must have a least one year of regular yoga practice at the time of joining the training. To participate in a Level 2 training the winner must have a Yoga Alliance accredited Level 1 200 Hour certificate. (Non Byron Yoga Centre graduates will need to undertake a short online conversion course).
  • If the winner fails to take up any of the prize trainings or retreats no compensation will be offered and no alternative winner will be announced.
  • The trainings and retreats include the accommodation offered in the standard package for each event as detailed on the website www.byronyoga.com (a shared cabin with shared bathroom for trainings and a twin shared room with shared bathroom for retreats.) Upgrading to an ensuite room or private room is subject to further cost to the winner and to availability.
  • It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the winner must comply with the Terms and Condition and Byron Yoga Centre reserves the right to ask the winner to leave the Byron Yoga Retreat Centre and to cancel that and all future bookings if their behaviour disrupts other guests or is detrimental to the business in any way.
  • The winner will be decided by a panel of three Byron Yoga Centre staff and the decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into in regards to the decision.
  • The winner will be the person who is deemed by the judging panel to have answered the questions in the most authentic and inspiring way.
  • The winner agrees for their first name and photo to be used in publicity.
  • By entering the competition you are agreeing to your email address and details being added to the Byron Yoga Centre database.
